Creative Brief
Established in 1862, Wang De Chuan Tea House approaches Chinese tea from a Western perspective, blending Western elements with Chinese culture to create a fresh “New Tea Lifestyle”. It has successfully reshaped public perceptions of Chinese tea, giving it a modern identity and becoming a leading brand in cross-strait tea culture.
Task
Wonderworks worked closely with Wang De Chuan to reimagine the tea house through the lens of traditional Chinese literati, focusing on authenticity and essence. We helped define the brand’s positioning and identity, creating a visual style that blends modern aesthetics with the spirit of Chinese tea culture. For key seasons like Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, and anniversaries, we also developed unique gift packaging and promotional materials that reflect the brand’s values with fresh appeal.
In 2017, Wang De Chuan introduced a sparkling cold brew tea made from premium leaves and traditional roasting methods. To support its entry into broader and younger markets, Wonderworks designed a modern packaging system that extended the core brand while establishing a distinct identity for the new line, positioning it for both mass and international appeal.
